If the leisure farm wants to attract parent-child customers, it is necessary to design a safe, healthy and entertaining outdoor play space to meet the children's desire to be close to nature and experience outdoor fun.

To do a good job of outdoor design for children, there are 11 things to keep in mind:

First, why do children play outdoors

This is already a cliché, often playing outdoors, can improve children's immunity, enhance their physical fitness, stimulate creativity and imagination. Most importantly, playing outdoors children mobilize all their sensory organs, which makes them aware of their own existence.

If the list is made to illustrate the benefits of outdoor play, the list should also include: improving children's ability to think rationally and solve problems, cultivating children's awareness of respect for nature and other creatures, and so on.

  Second, safety first

To ensure the safety of the venue, first of all, we must strengthen the children's playground, from the venue to various amusement facilities and landscapes, we must ensure that it is stable and reliable; Also stay away from busy roads, whether they are roadways or sidewalks; Stay away from dangerous water sources.

However, safety does not mean that a high fence must be put up, and for children, perhaps a sunken garden-style playground is a better choice than the common hedge or fence.

   Third, age-appropriate design

In order to design a safer and more fun play area, designers should plan different play zones for children of different ages.

Children of different ages vary greatly in terms of body shape, behavior, and cognitive abilities. For example, if there is a place designed for children aged 6 to 23 months, auxiliary facilities such as crawling, standing and walking should be provided; Playgrounds designed for children between the ages of 5 and 12 should leave plenty of room for them to run or play ball games.

   Fourth, the accessibility of playgrounds

A good playground should welcome all groups of children, regardless of their age, what kind of behavioral and cognitive abilities they have.

When designing playgrounds, good planners also have to provide convenience and fun for children with disabilities, children with sensory and visual impairments, and even children with autism. Healing gardens, for example, are play solutions for specific groups of children.

Fifth, carefully choose the hardened pavement

In order to ensure that children play carefree and do not have to worry about falling and getting injured, they also need to pay more attention to the hardening of the play area.

Pavement of concrete and asphalt is not desirable for children's playgrounds because they do not have any cushioning properties.

Lawn and grass will be better, but the performance of buffering is not the best; Rubber flooring with good cushioning performance is ideal for designing children's playgrounds, because it is easy to pave, durable and affordable. (However, Yidu Creative believes that in parent-child agriculture, grass is a better choice than rubber flooring.)

Pebble or (straw) covered paving is also not a good choice, as curious children will easily take them off and put them in their mouths, which is a potential danger that cannot be ignored.
